After spending over 30 years in the securities and insurance industry and raising 2 sons, I made the choice to explore a new chapter in my life. 

My Grandmother was a professional model in Washington DC and had one of the best senses of style and fashion; whether she was wearing it or surrounding herself by it. They built several homes over the years and she was always such a talent for creating comfortable, glamorous, yet livable spaces; each home was unique. She was a natural at finding ways to add just the right statement pieces, and also up-cycle materials for a finished look. Without realizing it, I had the greatest mentor to learn from.

After building a few homes myself over the years, choosing finishes and design elements came easy to me. I’m perpetually changing and rearranging for a fresh perspective. My philosophy has always been that surrounding yourself with what makes you feel cozy, confident, refreshed and energized are key factors to happiness. 

My small interior design business started after volunteering my energy and talent to a few larger scale renovation projects, which were a humbling success. It didn’t take long to realize I had a passion for this industry, and, the joy it brings me to see creative changes help a client feel happier in their home, is priceless. 

The skillset from my previous professional career, combined with my attention to detail, allow me to determine just the right ingredients needed to create a space that will achieve a client’s goals.  My ability to hyperfocus and visualize how to transform a space (even in the most chaotic of circumstances) helps me deliver significant changes to my clients. I derive personal satisfaction regardless of the size and scope of a project; It can be as simple as a room refresh, changing the layout of existing materials in the home, or even a complete home renovation. 

Interpreting a client’s design style doesn’t always fall into a specific design “category.” I listen closely to what a client is hoping to achieve, we share examples of inspiration and I help present a vision. Color, texture, art, lighting, vibe and function… all essential factors blended together like an orchestra. A space can be created around one simple piece you love in your room and each design element is added in layers. My optional concierge services include presenting a client with full vignettes so it’s as simple as pointing to which grouping you love, and working with the contractors to manage the process of transforming the space.

I always ask my clients to “Trust The Process.” If I can help you feel more comfortable, refreshed and inspired after a long day, then I’ve reached my goal. Even if it’s only one room at a time, my mission is to spread joy and create harmony in your home.
